Land Titles Act 1996.

This Act makes provision for the registration of title in land and defines effects of registration of title. The Act also provides other rules relative to dealings in land. Land in respect of which title has been registered under this Act may not be transferred, mortgaged, leased or otherwise dealt with, and an instrument that purports to deal with such land shall not be registered, except in accordance with this Act. Rights in land shall be registered with the Registrar of Titles of Norfolk Island.

This Act makes provision with respect to matters of inheritance. It provides rules for the making and execution of wills and defines criteria for a will to be considered valid. A person may by will dispose of a contingent, executory or future interest in real property. Wills may be deposited with the Registrar of Probates and Administration.

This Act makes provision with respect to matters of inheritance. It adopts, subject to provisions of this Act and to any modifications effected by this Act, so far as applicable to the circumstances of Norfolk Island, the laws relating to the succession to and devolution of real and personal estate on death and to inheritance and to wills in force in New South Wales at the time of the coming into force of this Act, and more particularly the Inheritance Act of 1901 of New South Wales.

This Order implements provisions of the Probate (Jersey) Law 1998 in relation with, among other things: application, other than pursuant to article 6(7) of the Law, for probate or grant of administration through an advocate or solicitor or by other specified means; caveats; an application for authorization as a trust corporation; removal of an executor or an administrator; and deposit of and access to will and other documents. The Order also prescribes various forms for purpose of the Law.

This Order specifies jurisdictions for the purposes of articles 6(7) and 21(1) of the Probate (Jersey) Law 1998. Article 6 provides for the application for and the making of a grant of probate or administration. Article 21 provides for protection for person releasing movable estate without grant.

This Act concerns the administration of real estate and personal property of deceased persons by an administrator or executor by will. The Act also makes provision for the distribution of estates under intestate and other administration or disposal of assets. The Administrator General, an office established under this Act, may, subject as is provided in and by the Wills and Probate Act, apply to the Court for Letters of Administration.

This Act establishes the Registrar General who shall keep four separate and distinct indexes of: (a) Deeds; (b) probates of Wills and Letters of Administration; (c) judgments, decrees, orders and rules; and (d) memoranda of lis pendens. The Act also provides for examination of documents and certified copies and grants the power to make Rules to the Registrar General.

This Act makes provision for the registration and execution of deeds. It also provides for the protection of purchasers and mortgagees. For the purposes of this Act a memorandum of a statutory lease executed in accordance with the provisions of the Land Tenants (Security of Tenure) Act, shall be deemed to be a deed registrable under this Act. Deeds shall be certified by a licensed Surveyor within the meaning of the Land Surveyors Ordinance.

This Act provides for matters of succession to and protection and administration of property of a deceased person. Succession to rights can be intestate or on the basis of a will. The Act also sets out rules for the construction of wills.Except so far as expressly authorized by this Act, or by any other written law, or by a grant of representation under this Act, no person shall, for any purpose, take possession or dispose of, or otherwise intermeddle with, any free property of a deceased person.
