Located in Chay Lork village, O'som commune, Veal Veng distric, Pursat province, land size of 4,674 hectares was converted into state private property used for the investment of economic land concessions in Stung Atay hydropower project. Annex of the map on geographic locations and coordination system No.0456 on 06 March 2012 of Pursat Provincial Hall are attached with this sub-decree.
This Sub-decree aim to set principal, strategy, and legal procedure on managing and functioning on state property in relation to (1) Management on inventory of state property, (2) Lease on state property, (3) Sale on state private property, and (4) Exchange on private state property.
This sub decree has the objective to define the criteria, procedures and mechanism granting of social land concessions for residential use and/family farming. There are two types of Social Land Concession: local and national programs.
The law manages land for agricultural purposes, such as farmlands, plains, peasants, highlands, terraced lands, licensed forest lands, riverside lands, islands, natural grasslands(even though they are growing or left empty), lakes, ponds and dams outside the fishing areas.
All the land in Cambodia belongs to the State and shall be governed and protected in agreement by the State. The State does not recognize the land property right existing before 1979. The property right and any other rights related to the land shall be governed by this law.
The 2001 Amendment to the Land Law aims to determine the regime of ownership for immovable properties in the Kingdom of Cambodia for the purpose of guaranteeing the rights of ownership and other rights related to immovable properties. It also intends to establish a modern system of land registration that guarantees the rights of people to own land.
