The Law provides for land cadastre registration and the creation of the National Cadastre. It sets forth extensively the administrative procedures (up to the initial registrations of properties at the land logbooks) and lay down the guidelines for dispute settlements.

This Act provides for various aspects relative to dealings in land in Rotuma and provides for the appointment of the Rotuma Lands Commission. The Commission shall ascertain (traditional) land rights, resolve disputes relative to land rights, demarcate land and register land rights (sect. 4). All land found by the Commission to be un-owned shall vest in the Crown in trust for the Rotuman people, but shall not be considered to be Crown land. All moneys derived from such un-owned land shall be paid into the Rotuman Development Fund and be used for the purposes of that Fund.

Purpose of the Agreement is to resolve all pending boundary differences between the two countries, and provide for maintaining the Rio Grande and the Colorado River as the international boundary. It provides procedures designed to avoid the loss or gain of territory by either country incident to future changes in the river. The contracting States agree to establish and recognize their maritime boundaries in the Gulf of Mexico and in the Pacific ocean according to the provisions of article V.

This Act deals in a comprehensive manner with the settlement of disputes regarding disputes as to interests in customary land, or as to the position of boundaries of any customary land by adjudication or alternative dispute resolution.Its 75 sections are divided into 7 Parts: Preliminary (I); Provincial Land Disputes Committees (III); Mediation of land disputes (IV); Local Land Courts (IV); Provincial Land Courts (V); Offences (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).“Land” includes: a) a reef or bank; (b) a house or other structure built on land or over water; (c) things growing on land or in water over

This Act establishes the land Titles Commission as an independent judicial tribunal for the resolution of disputes of rights in land, including an interest in land, whether arising out of and regulated by custom or otherwise, provides for judicial procedures and the extra-judicial settlement of disputes and some other matters. The Land Titles Commission for Papua New Guinea is established under section 3. The Chief Commissioner is responsible for the administration of the Commission and the co-ordination of the work of the Commissioners.

This Act consists of 66 sections divided into 6 Parts: Preliminary provisions (I); Application of fundamental principles of the National Land Policy (II); Transfers and hazard land (III); Village lands (IV); Dispute settlement (V); Miscellaneous provisions (VI). The President may transfer any area of village land to general or reserved land for public interest (sect. 4). Village land transfer shall not be transferred until the type, amount and timing of the payment of compensation has been agreed upon. The Minister may declare any area of a village land to be hazard land.

This Chapter contains rules relative to various kinds of actions required for determination of conflicting claims regarding real properties. Actions here regulated include: action to quiet title to real and personal property, an order made to allow a party to survey and measure the land in dispute, establishment of value of improvements on property and other increase in value, recovery of damages, actions during proceedings, injuctions, etc.

La presente Ley de arrendamientos rústicos establece la normativa para aquellos contratos mediante los cuales se ceden temporalmente una o varias fincas, o parte de ellas, para su aprovechamiento agrícola, ganadero o forestal a cambio de un precio o renta.

La presente Ley tiene como finalidad fortalecer y otorgar seguridad jurídica a los titulares de la propiedad, desarrollar y ejecutar una política nacional que permita la inversión nacional extranjera y el acceso a la propiedad por parte de todos los sectores de la sociedad.

La presente Ley norma la garantía constitucional a la propiedad privada, las condiciones indispensables para que el propietario alcance en el más alto índice el desarrollo y utilización de sus bienes, y regula las obligaciones y limitaciones a la propiedad que sean adecuadas para la transformación de la tierra ociosa, la protección del patrimonio familiar y el mejor aprovechamiento de los recursos naturales de la Nación.

El presente Decreto modifica la Ley de Transformación Agraria en aspectos relacionados con las funciones del Instituto Nacional de Transformación Agraria y los criterios y condiciones para la transferencia de la propiedad de las tierras.

El presente Acuerdo apruébale Reglamento tiene por objeto definir los procedimientos generales y específicos del proceso de regularización que utilizará el Fondo de Tierras (FONTIERRAS) para dar cumplimiento a lo establecido en la Ley del Fondo de Tierras.
