Centro para la Acción Legal en Derechos Humanos

CALDH

Centro para la Accion Legal en los Derechos Humanos (CALDH) was founded in 1983 to challenge impunity in Guatemala and preserve the memory of the country's violent past. CALDH represents victims of gross human rights violations committed during the armed conflict before the courts, provides legal advice and representation to current human rights defenders, and supports the strengthening of local organisations and victims’ groups, particularly women survivors.

The Commision Nationale des Terres et Autres Biens was established recently by the Government of Burundi to address widespread conflicts relating to land and other properties that have arisen following Burundi’s independence 45 years ago. 

 

For most Burundians, land is both history and livelihood. In a densely populated country where almost nine out of 10 citizens are subsistence farmers, land ownership is a desperate need and a flashpoint for conflict exacerbated by ethnic cleavages and waves of migration and return.

The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a programme aimed at preventing violence and promoting peace in crisis zones and conflict regions. It aims to build a world in which conflicts are resolved without resorting to violence. Nine German peace and development organizations run the CPS together with local partners. The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is funded by the German Government.  CPS experts support people on the ground in their commitment for dialogue, human rights and peace on a long-term basis.  Currently, about 350 international CPS experts are active in 45 countries.

The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) is an international financial institution, established in 1944 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., United States, that is the lending arm of World Bank Group. The IBRD offers loans to middle-income developing countries. The IBRD is the first of five member institutions that compose the World Bank Group. The initial mission of the IBRD in 1944, was to finance the reconstruction of European nations devastated by World War II.

Belun

Belun has grown to become one of the largest National nongovernment organisations in Timor-Leste and has engaged with over 100 non-government (NGO) and community-based organization (CBO) partners, .

Kujenga Amani

Kujenga Amani facilitates the exchange of ideas and information between researchers, practitioners, and policymakers working on diverse aspects of peacebuilding in Africa. It is a digital forum for conversations about the critical challenges confronting peacebuilding in conflict-affected regions of the continent, as well as exploring the connections between African and global peace.

A Universidade do Pará foi criada pela Lei nº 3.191, de 2 de julho de 1957, sancionada pelo Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek de Oliveira, após cinco anos de tramitação legislativa. Congregou as sete faculdades federais, estaduais e privadas existentes em Belém: Medicina, Direito, Farmácia, Engenharia, Odontologia, Filosofia, Ciências e Letras e Ciências Econômicas, Contábeis e Atuariais.
