In Latvia the construction of new transport infrastructure objects or reconstruction of existing ones increasingly generates necessity to expand an area of land under auto roads (right of way), as well as activates necessity of efficiency of real property expropriation process. In frame of research the correlation between expropriated land and total area of affected land parcels have been analyzed in two different projects of road development – project of new road and project of road reconstruction.

Around 100years ago, when Crown land in the interior of northern Sweden was privatized, part of the forest land was set aside as forest commons. Today, there are 33 such forest commons jointly managed and owned in common mainly by private forest owners. The forest commons may be looked upon as a means by which the state controls the production of and returns from the forests belonging to small and less affluent forest owners. Further, an attempt has been made to use the forests as a tool to move the self-interests of these small forest owners closer to providing public goods.

Author of the article concludes that till now disproportionately spacious cadastral value range and its inadequacy towards resident income has restricted to establish a fair personal income and property tax proportionate to the objective of appropriate tax. In order to ensure operation of the Cadastre, the Cadastre information system is being maintained and improved. Cadastre text and spatial data regarding cadastre objects, which are located in the territory of Latvia, are registered and maintained in the Cadastre information system. In order to specify the value of particular cadastre object, four models of cadastral assessment are developed. These models provide cadastral assessment of all cadastre objects registered in the Cadastre information system.

Effects of carbon sequestration rewards on forest management—An empirical application of adjusted Faustmann Formulae

This paper assesses the effects that different economic instruments to reward carbon sequestration services might have on forest management, especially on the optimal rotation period. Three different carbon crediting schemes are considered, which are based on different accounting rules. The schemes are different with respect to the question whether and how to account for carbon emissions. The forest valuation method used for calculation is based on the land expectation value (LEV), which was adjusted for the value of carbon sequestration services.

The security district of Hatay, Kilis, Gaziantep, Sanliurfa, Mardin and Sirnak province located along southern boundary lies between Turkey and Syria that comprised wide areas. It is considered to evaluate of cleaned mined land with a 300-400 m width and 510 m length. It was estimated that these lands were very productive and that can be used for organic or other types of agriculture .If these lands are cleaned and opened to agriculture, that can create jop opportunities to many families in agriculture.

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was developed an information model for the provision of use and protection of arable lands taking into consideration the main sources and factors of anthropogenic influence on land resources. The model of information supply of the usage and protection of agricultural lands took into account data about their initial (base) condition and data about current changes, as well as analytical and archive data. It reflected ecological-economic side of management of land resources.

Timely identification of agricultural crops in the Temelin NPP vicinity using satellite data in the event of radiation contamination

This study established the possibility of rapid evaluation of land cover structure and situation using as an example the Temelin Nuclear Power Plant (Czech Republic) emergency zone. The composition, surface representation and spatial distribution of crop species in the area of interest were assessed on the basis of satellite data analysis (Landsat 5 TM). The supervised classification method of Landsat data yielded 92% accuracy of classification into the land cover classes.
