Validação de parâmetros operacionais para o manejo de mesas de subirrigação

RESUMO A subirrigação requer que a definição do manejo hídrico e nutricional seja adequada ao equipamento e à cultura a ser cultivada para obter elevada eficiência de irrigação em comparação a outros sistemas. O objetivo desse trabalho foi avaliar os parâmetros operacionais de uma mesa de subirrigação em condições teóricas e experimentais, com a determinação do tempo de permanência da água no interior do equipamento para diferentes valores de lâmina e de vazões de adução.

The dominant agricultural model, based on the abusive and destructive use of natural resources, leads us into a health, social, ecological, climatic, economic and cultural impasse.

In the North as in the South a regulatory arsenal limits the rights of peasants to exchange and reproduce their seeds. The privatization of seeds, the first link in the food chain, and the growing control over them by multinational companies seeking to increase their monopoly by imposing hybrid seeds and GMOs poses a threat to global sovereignty and food security.

Reducing conflicts around water points

 SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL works in the region of Kidal, in northern Mali, since 2015 to improve agro-pastoral activities through the implementation of WaSH activities. Underlying the rehabilitation of water points is the aim to reduce conflicts between different types of users: breeders and their herds and local populations for domestic uses.The team worked to identify the good practices that had been implemented in the first phase of this project funded by OFDA, between June 2015 and September 2016.

Permanent research plots in Bengkalis, Riau: Carbon dynamics and water regimes of re-wetted peatlands

In collaboration with the University of Riau, the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) has established permanent plots in Tanjung Leban village, Bengkalis regency, Riau province. The site, which is owned by the local community, is about 50 km east of the city of Dumai and easily accessed by car.
