The objective of this Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 24 articles and two Annexes, is to reduce water pollution caused or induced by nitrates from agricultural sources and preventing further such pollution. This Regulation lays down limit intake of nitrogen from agricultural sources in the ground or floor and measures to reduce and prevent water pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources.

The purpose of this Order is to compensate for the subsidy for marginal zone areas which are utilized for agriculture and that are eligible to the Single Payment Scheme and land with trees. In order to eligible, the areas must be located within one or more fields where there is an overlap of at least 100 meters between each field and the border zone areas with the same contribution rate.

This Regional Law establishes cases of allotment of land parcels, pertaining to public or municipal property, in ownership free of charge, and also maximum land parcel areas authorized for transfer in ownership to citizens. Public and municipal land parcels can be transferred in ownership to citizens once-only for the following purposes: (a) gardening and horticulture; (b) farming; and (c) individual housing construction.

These Regulations provide for the payment of grant to farmers who enter an agreement with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to carry out approved agricultural operations under these Regulations. Grants are made in the framework of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme. “Approved operations” are agricultural operations approved by the Department other than those carried out in pursuance of an agreement with the Department under the Organic Farming Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2008.
