These provisions lay down some amendments to the Development Planning (Procedure for Applications and their Determination) Regulations as regards development permissions and their automatic renewal, under certain circumstances.

This Act aims at preserving soil which is suitable or could be made suitable for purposes of agriculture. To this end, Section 3 lays down particular prohibitions.
The purpose of these Regulations is to regulate the use of sewage sludge (defined in reg. 2) in agriculture (defined) in such a way as to prevent harmful effects on soil, vegetation, animals and man and to promote the correct use of such sludge. No sludge shall be used in agriculture unless it is treated in accordance with these Regulations (reg. 3).
These provisions supplement the Eighth Schedule of the Environment and Development Planning Act, regarding the procedures to apply to certain types of development.

These provisions lay down amendments and addenda to the Nitrates Action Programme Regulations. New definitions are inserted in regulation 2 (livestock unit, deep litter system).
The present Act provides for the restriction on removal of sand. No person shall remove or carry away from any beach or sea shore or from any land or place, whether publicly or privately owned, any sand without a permit by the Director of Public Works. Section 7 establishes the penalties to be applied in case of contravention.
Subject to the provisions of the present Order, development permissions are granted for the classes of development described as permitted development in the Schedule to this Order (art. 3). The Planning Authority has the power to restrict permitted development pursuant to article 4. Some permitted developments shall be notified in accordance with provisions of the Schedule.
These Regulations concern the submission and valuation of applications for development plans. Specific provisions regard the environment and development brief to be made in relation to any development mentioned in Schedule 1.
This Order lays down some amendments to the Environment and Development Planning Act of 1992. It transposes and implements certain provisions of Directive 2003/35 EC of the European Parliament and of the Council providing for public participation in respect of the drawing up of certain plans and programmes relating to the environment.
