Land valuation in the landscape consolidation projects is currently based on the Decree no. 38/2005 Coll on determining the value of land and plantations for the purpose of land consolidations. Land value is determined using the evaluation map which in turn is created from the updated ESQU (BPEJ) in the area of the landscape consolidation project. The intersection of the layer of plots' boundaries with the evaluation map is the basis for determining the value of existing and new plots. The areas of values as represented by the updated areas of ESQU (BPEJ) hardly reflect the true value of the land. Standard application of the current land valuation method leads to disagreements, especially in those cases where the owners are located in areas with significant difference between two adjacent values of ESQU (BPEJ). Original land valuation practices for landscape consolidation process are presented in this paper with the aim of a more realistic reflection of the plots benefits as offered by the particular land allocation site. A new procedure for determining the relative value of land by multicriteria evaluation system will be proposed. Two essential criteria that significantly affect the final value of the land will be defined. The methodology and algorithms for land valuation within the land consolidations will be outlined.
