This Law, composed of 4 articles, authorises the Government to define the legal status of land thus revising former Law No. 2030 of 22 June 1948. In particular, the Law provides the framework under which the Government shall revise the former system. Particular attention is devoted to: defining guidelines on land use and management; specifying the legal status of public land and its planning; providing a classification on land occupation; define conditions for establishing protected areas and reserves; regulate property, real estate, land acquisition as well as sanctions and penalties; introduction zoning criteria and the concept of sustainable development.
