The present Law lays down provisions relating to land expropriation in the Canton of Schwyz. Article 4 establishes that expropriation is, inter alia, admissible for: the rebuilding and enlargement of new streets; the remaking of river banks and brooks; for the building of new churches; the exploitation of material used for building of streets; the erection of new water conducts and fountains. The text consists of 53 articles divided into 10 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Right of expropriation (II); Compensation (III); Expropriation proceedings (IV); Assessment proceedings (V); Ban on expropriation (VI); Allocation of ownership (VII); Right of restitution (VIII); Costs and compensation (IX); Transitional and final provisions (X).
