Building on previous finance-focused Global Landscapes Forum events held in London in 2015 and 2016, the GLF 2018 Investment Case Symposium continued the multi-stakeholder conversation around sustainable financial solutions at landscape level.
The third GLF Investment Case was held on May 30, 2018 at the International Finance Corporation in Washington DC.
About 200 participants, representatives from the financial sector, government, business, civil society, indigenous communities and youth gathered to discuss the progress made in sustainable finance for landscapes, to exchange knowledge and explore the next steps in scaling-up private investment for sustainable landscapes.
Almost 9,000 people followed the online live stream of the Symposium, with about 3.6 million more joining the dialogue via social media.
Check out the discussions, including key messages, challenges, opportunities and ways forward, in this Outcome Statement that offers an overview of GLF 2018 Investment Case in Washington DC.
