Master in Environmental Law and Doctor in Jurisprudence dedicated to environmental and agrarian issues, environmental policy and management, access to land and biodiversity. His training includes studies at the School of Arts and specialty in Spain, France, Israel, Mexico and Ecuador. He has extensive international experience that includes work and advice to public and non-governmental entities, national and global. Author and co-author of various publications and conferences. Founder of the ECOLEX Corporation. During two periods (2005 and 2009) he was President of CEDENMA, Ecuador's committee of environmental NGOs. He is a member of the global network of environmental lawyers (ELaw), the IUCN Commission on Environmental Law, the Advisory Council of the MICI / IDB, the Council of the NAMATI Global Justice Network and President of the Inter-American Association for the Defense of the Environment (AIDA).
