The National Forestry Policy and Implementation Strategy is Liberia’s sectoral policy and strategy for the forestry sector for the period 2006-2016. It focuses on maximizing the benefits of the forestry sector for the Liberian society, with a special emphasis on the contribution of the sector to poverty alleviation.

The overall objective of the present National Forest Policy is the conservation, protection, management and utilisation of the nation’s forest resources, while ensuring that the productive capacity of the forests for both goods and services is maintained or enhanced.

The main objective of the present Forest Policy is enhancing the contribution of the forests to the national economy and the welfare of the current and future generations, taking into account the preservation of the biodiversity. Three goals of equal weight are contained in the main objective, namely: 1) Economic goal: Forests will be used efficiently and in a sustainable manner in order to enhance the contribution of the sector to the national economy, including foreign currency, government income, and employment.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto establecer un marco general que regule la actividad de los sectores agrario y agroalimentario en Extremadura, de conformidad con el carácter estratégico de los mismos para el desarrollo de la Comunidad Autónoma, así como el régimen jurídico de las infraestructuras rurales de Extremadura.

La présente loi régit le statut de la chefferie traditionnelle (institution qui regroupe l’ensemble des chefs traditionnels dépositaires de l’autorité coutumière) en République du Niger.Les communautés coutumières et traditionnelles, intégrées dans l’organisation administrative de la République du Niger, sont administrées, selon le cas par des sultans, des chefs de provinces, des chefs de cantons, des chefs de groupements, des chefs de secteurs, des chefs de villages, des chefs de tribus, des chefs des chefferies particulières, des chefs de quartiers ou des chefs de fractions.

This Act makes provision for the management and conservation of forest and wildlife resources in Montserrat. It establishes the Forestry, Wildlife, National Parks and Protected Areas Board and the Environmental Fund. The Board shall, among other things, advise the Minister and review and revise the national forest, wildlife and national parks plan.

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of land reclamation originating in the process of realization of land reclamation arrangements, establishes plenary powers of state bodies, local government, natural and legal persons operating in the aforesaid sphere. The scope of land reclamation activity shall be to raise fertility and productivity of agricultural land. Land reclamation shall be classified as follows: (a) hydroamelioration; (b) agro-forestry amelioration; (c) land clearing amelioration; and (d) chemical amelioration.

The purpose of the present Law is to promote agriculture and forestry in such a way as to fulfil within the global economy their basic functions for the general well-being. The tasks of agriculture and forestry are, inter alia, the production of healthy food in sufficient quantities as well as the organization and maintenance of nature and recreational space.

This Law, consisting of 21 articles, creates the National Granting System of lands for agricultural, forestry or silvopastoril purpose, called «Bolsa de terras». This Law applies to rural lands according to their registration and subject to the legislation regulating the ownership transfer of goods. This Law does not apply to: rural lands considered mixed for tax purposes, of lands for non-permanent housing with an area less than 1 ha. Rural lands with authorised tourism activity by the competent authority.

This Law approves fiscal benefits to the use of agricultural, forestry and silvopastoril lands and to the promotion of the «Bolsa de terras». In particular, this Law establishes tax reductions aimed at stimulating the National Granting System of lands, amending the Fee Regulation for Land Registration, approved by Decree-Law No. 322-A/2001 of 14 December.

This Law sets forth the principles and procedures of valuation of areas taken out of forest area borders on behalf of the Treasury and vending of agriculture lands owned by the Treasury. The Law also sets out the principles and procedures of creation of new forest areas, replacement of forest villagers and supporting the development of replaced forest villages. The provisions of this Law covers only areas taken out of forest area borders in accordance with Article. 2 of the Law No. 6831 and covers the agriculture lands owned by the Treasury.

The National Strategy on Adaptation to Climate Change is a cross-sectoral strategic document adopted by the Ministry of the Environment to respond to the broader goals set out in the adaptation strategy package approved by the European Commission in 2013, with the aim of making Europe better prepared to withstand existing and future climate impacts.
