The Act makes provision for various matters relating to customary land, private land and public land and powers of the Minister in respect of such land.The Act consists of 44 sections divided into 8 Parts: Preliminary (I); general (II); Private Land (III); Private land (IV); Customary land (V); User of land (VI); Trespass or encroachment upon, or unlawful occupation of, land (VII); Miscellaneous (VIII).A Corporation may hold land only with a license from the Minister (sect. 3). The Minister may dispose of public and customary land in accordance with section 5.

The is established the North New Georgia Timber Corporation the principal object of which shall be to promote the utilisation of the timber resources of North New Georgia for the public benefit. There shall be a Board of Directors of the Corporation. For purposes of this Act, all ownership of timber standing on customary lands within North New Georgia shall be transferred to the Corporation (sect. 4). Compensation for the acquisition of rights shall be effected in accordance with section 5. The Functions of the North New Georgia Timber Corporation are set out in section 6.

The provisions of this Act shall apply to any part or whole of any such area or areas as the Minister may, from time to time, by Order in the Gazette define and shall apply to all lands described therein except those listed in section 2. No land shall be subdivided without the approval of the Director of Town and Country Planning except in the circumstances listed in section 4. Application for approval by the Director must be made in accordance with section. Local authorities shall consider the application and make recommendations to the Director (sect. 7).

The present Act makes provisions, inter alia, with respect to land tenure rights, conveyance of lands, easements, transfer of land, leases, mortgages, and various other matters relative to the registration of titles, use of land rights, transfer of land,etc.

This Decree makes provision with respect to the transfer of interests in land. It provides rules relative form and procedure of such transfer and defines the effects of conveyance. The Decree concerns also the recording of oral grant of interest in land under customary law and sets out the content of implied covenants for the transfer of various interests in land, including leasehold.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto la preservación social y cultural de las comunidades indígenas, su efectiva participación en el proceso de desarrollo nacional así como la creación de un régimen jurídico que les garantice la propiedad de la tierra y otros recursos productivos. El título primero introduce normas generales sobre las comunidades indígenas, en particular acerca del asentamiento de las comunidades indígenas: asentamiento en tierras fiscales (arts. 21-23); asentamiento en tierras de dominio privado (arts. 24-27).

La presente Ley tiene por objeto la preservación social y cultural de las comunidades aborígenes, la defensa de su patrimonio y sus tradiciones, el mejoramiento de sus condiciones económicas, su efectiva participación en le proceso de desarrollo nacional y provincial, y su acceso a un régimen jurídico que les garantice la propiedad de la tierra y otros recursos productivos en igualdad de derechos con los demás ciudadanos.

An Ordinance to provide for title and registration of rights in native land.The Act consists of 64 sections divided into 9 Parts: Preliminary (I); Titles to native land (II); Alienation (III); The Land Court (IV); Lands Code (V); Leases (VI); Survey (VII); Penalties (VIII); General (IX).Section 4 concerns indefeasibility of title of native title subject to specified conditions. Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance native land shall not be alienated, whether by sale, gift, lease or otherwise, to a person who is not a native (sect. 5).

El presente Decreto Supremo aprueba el Reglamento de la Ley de Comunidades Nativas y de Desarrollo Agrario de la Selva y Ceja de Selva, que reconoce la existencia legal y la personalidad jurídica de las Comunidades Nativas, de la cual son miembros los nacidos en el seno de la misma y aquellos que, habiendo nacido en otras comunidades, residan en ella en forma permanente, así como los que sean incorporados a la Comunidad y que reúnan los requisitos que señale el Estatuto de Comunidades Nativas.

La presente Ley de Comunidades Nativas y de Desarrollo Agrario de la Selva y Ceja de Selva, tiene como finalidad establecer una estructura agraria que contribuya al desarrollo integral de las regiones de Selva y Ceja de Selva, a fin de que su población alcance niveles de vida compatibles con la dignidad de la persona humana.

La presente Ley de Comunidades Nativas y de Promoción Agropecuaria de Regiones de Selva y Ceja de Selva, tiene como finalidad establecer una estructura agraria mediante proyectos de asentamiento rural, que contribuyan al desarrollo integral de las regiones de Selva y Ceja de Selva, a fin de que su población alcance niveles de vida compatibles con la dignidad de la persona humana.

The Ordinance refers to a Bangladesh custom of leasing land, called barga, and to the tenant of that lease, the bargadar, who is an individual tending the land whose property belongs to a different owner. It states that cultivating land belonging to another person and sharing the resulting production is consented only under a barga contract.
