A law that regulates land-use planning and rational exploitation of land. Land is property of the Government of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, its exploitation is allowed only under concession or authorization granted by the Government. Agricultural land exploitation areas shall not exceed 300 hectars, but the Council of Ministers may authorize land-use concessions to cooperatives and national or foreign companies for areas not exceeding 1500 hectars.
The amendments are made to several sections of the Land Ordinance concerning inter alia the following matters: insertion of the definition of "foreshore"; unlawful occupation of land; alienation of State land; definition of customary rights; land dealings with natives; reserved use rights; implied conditions in titles; revision of rent; sub-division of titles; appeal; revision by the Director of decisions given by the Collector of Land Revenue or Assistant Collectors; cultivation of land; use of land for agricultural purposes; applications for State land; information to be given to the Coll
The object and purpose of the present Act is to provide for the most effective utilization of Crown lands by: a) the application of proven forest management techniques to enhance productivity on Crown lands and to provide for an increasing harvest of better quality forest products; b) requiring that leasing and licensing arrangements on Crown lands are providing for equitable stumpage rates, adequate investments in forest improvements and improved market access for privately produced wood; c) the integration of wildlife and outdoor recreation considerations in the forest management planning

This Act declares that it shall be the public policy of American Samoa and the purpose of this Chapter to promote soil and water conservation by creating a Soil and Water Conservation District to advise on methods of preventing erosion, and protecting and improving water quality.

The purpose of this Ordinance is to assist owners of land to protect and manage their land and land based resources for conservation, custom spiritual and amenity purposes. Any owner of land may apply to the Isabel Province Executive for a declaration that part or all of their land be set aside as a Conservation Area (sect. 4). The Executive may declare Conservation Areas under section 5. Section 6 concerns amendment or removal of the status as Conservation Area. A notification of a declaration as Conservation Area shall be published and distributed as prescribed in section 8.
This Act concerns the validity of claims of prescription which may be lawfully made at common law or by custom to any way or other easement or to any watercourse or to the use of any water, to be enjoyed or derived upon, over or from any land or water. The Act, among other things, sets out criteria for the establishment of the period after which a claim shall be held valid.
