Country presentations from Indonesia, China, the Philippines, and South Korea showcased diverse strategies and innovations in property valuation, highlighting the integration of technological tools and policy reforms to adapt to the challenges of urban expansion. A panel discussion, featuring perspectives from Bhutan, Vietnam, Lao PDR, and Tonga, delved into the broader implications of valuation practices on equitable land management and resource distribution. The dialogue emphasized the need for region-specific valuation frameworks that can accommodate diverse economic and social landscapes, ensuring fair and effective land administration. Discussants highlighted both the opportunities and challenges of applying valuation systems in rapidly urbanizing contexts, underscoring the importance of accurate and transparent valuation as a foundation for sustainable economic development. The session concluded with a call for ongoing collaboration and knowledge-sharing across countries to enhance land valuation systems that support inclusive growth and resilience in urban settings.
