Cette troisième réunion du groupe de travail Biodiversité, Habitat et Qualité de l’Eau a été ouverte conjointement par M. Birane Sambe, coordinateur régional du projet CCLME et M. Abou Bamba, secrétaire de la Convention d’Abidjan. M. Sambe a remercié l’ensemble des participants d’avoir effectué le déplacement. Selon lui, l’épidémie d’Ebola a causé beaucoup de perturbations de part le monde. C’est pourquoi, la réunion qui était prévue au Cap Vert n’a pu s’y tenir à cause de restrictions imposé par ce pays aux frontières. Il a déploré l’absence de la Guinée Bissau et du Cap Vert. M.

The guide is an important resource for development professionals and researchers working with households and communities. The objective of the gender and climate training guide is to address the lack of information on how men and women adapt to, and mitigate climate change. The Participatory Action Research methods and activities of the guide help ensure that gender is reflected in research activities and outcomes. The guide will help promote gender-sensitive adaptation and mitigation activities in projects for agriculture and food security.

Land Tenure Working Paper 20. This paper presents an analysis of communal tenure and its role for natural resource management system, in different contexts of selected Asian countries. The current market driven pressures on natural resources create both challenges and opportunities for communities and governments to use and strengthen communal tenure in order to promote sustainable management of some natural resources.

The "Expert Consultation on Integrated Management of Land and Water within an Agro-SylvoPastoral System" was held in Safita, Syria (Cham Safita Palace Hotel) during the period 16-18 June 1997.The Consultation was jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform of Syria and the FAD Regional Dffice for the Near East, RNE, Cairo, Egypt.

The National Medium Term Priority Framework (NMTPF) is intended to provide a framework for FAO and the GoI to work in partnership with local stakeholders to make a contribution to the development of the food and agriculture system of India.
