La presente Ley tiene por objeto la preservación social y cultural de las comunidades aborígenes, la defensa de su patrimonio y sus tradiciones, el mejoramiento de sus condiciones económicas, su efectiva participación en le proceso de desarrollo nacional y provincial, y su acceso a un régimen jurídico que les garantice la propiedad de la tierra y otros recursos productivos en igualdad de derechos con los demás ciudadanos.

This Decree amends the iTaukei Land Act (formerly the Native Lands Act) in subsection 1(b) of section 19 by deleting the words "Great Council of Chiefs" and substituting "iTaukei Affairs Board". Section 19 was inserted by the Native Lands (Amendment) Act 2002 in the principal Act and concerns the allotment of all extinct mataqali land.

Amends: Native Lands Act. (1985)

This Decree amends the Native Land Trust Act by establishing in that Act and all subsidiary laws made under that Act the word "native" shall be deleted wherever it appears and be replaced by the word "i Taukei". A new section is inserted in the principal Act. That section establishes that all written laws are amended by deleting all references to the word "native" wherever it appears and by inserting "i Taukei".

Amends: Native Land Trust Act. (1985)

This Decree establishes the Mahogany Industry Council and provides for the continuation of the Fiji Mahogany Trust, which was established as a body corporate under section 5 of the Fiji Mahogany Act 2003 for the benefit of landowners and the Fiji Hardwood Corporation Limited, transformed into a privatised Company for the purposes of developing the mahogany industry in Fiji, including the harvesting and processing of mahogany forests.

This Decree, consisting of 2 articles, establishes administrative markings and specifies geographical coordinates of the the Indigenous Tenharims' Land called "Tenharim Marmelos" in the Municipalities of Humaitá e Manicoré, State of Amazonas. It states that the specified indigenous lands belong in a permanent way to the indigenous group of Ashaninkas, with a surface of 474.741 ha. within the State of Amazonas.

This Decree, consisting of 2 articles, establishes administrative markings and specifies geographical coordinates of the the Indigenous Ticunas' Land called "Indígena Matintin" in the Municipalities of Humaitá e Manicoré, State of Amazonas. It states that the specified indigenous lands belong in a permanent way to the indigenous group of Ashaninkas, with a surface of 21.760 ha. within the State of Amazonas.

This Decree, consisting of 2 articles, establishes administrative markings and specifies geographical coordinates of the the Indigenous Cocamas' Land called "Terra Indígena Santa Cruz da Nova Aliança" in the Municipality of Tonantins, State of Amazonas. It states that the specified indigenous lands belong in a permanent way to the indigenous group of Cocamas, with a surface of 5.969 ha. within the State of Amazonas.

This Decree, consisting of 2 articles, establishes administrative markings and specifies geographical coordinates of the Indigenous Land called "Lago do Marinheiro", in the Municipality of Careiro, State of Amazonas. It states that this indigenous land will belong in a permanent way to the indigenous group of Muras, with a surface of 3,586 ha. within the State of Amazonas.

This Decree provides for use of native land as defined in the Native Lands Act and Crown land as defined in the Crown lands Act. Utilization of land to which this Decree applies shall be decided by the Prime Minister and all such land shall be registered in the Land Use Bank created under this Decree. The Decree also establishes a Land Use Unit in the Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources. This office shall be responsible for valuation of land, issue and renewal of leases and collection of rental. Leases issued under this Decree shall be for 99 years and are protected leases.

This Act revises statute law of Nauru by: validating specified Acts; by making amendments to Acts and Ordinances; and by repealing specified Ordinances and Acts. Repealed Ordinances include: the Importation of Dogs Ordinance 1937-1967, the Native Administration Ordinance 1922-1967, the Native Co-operative Societies Ordinance 1935-1967 and the Prohibition of Sale to Chinese and Natives of Overmilled Rice Ordinance 1925-1967. Repealed Acts include the Nauru Local Government Council Act 1951-1985 and the Nauru Local Government Council Guarantee Act 1970.

This Act provides for transitional and consequential matters relating to the enactment of the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006. It amends the Native Title Act 1993, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Act 2005, the Aboriginal Land (Lake Condah and Framlingham Forest) Act 1987, the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976 and some other Acts.

El presente Decreto Supremo reglamenta la Ley que regula la declaración del abandono legal de las tierras de las comunidades campesinas de la costa, ocupadas por asentamientos humanos y otras posesiones informales, normando el procedimiento para declarar el abandono legal de tales tierras.
