The United Nations Statistics Division is committed to the advancement of the global statistical system. We compile and disseminate global statistical information, develop standards and norms for statistical activities, and support countries' efforts to strengthen their national statistical systems. We facilitate the coordination of international statistical activities and support the functioning of the United Nations Statistical Commission as the apex entity of the global statistical system.

Flemish Interuniversity Council

VLIR

The Flemish Interuniversity Council (Vlaamse Interuniversitaire Raad/VLIR) is a public utility foundation that was established in the 1970s. Within the VLIR, universities discuss matters that concern them all. They jointly formulate policy advice to the ministers responsible for education and research, and improve their internal effect through cooperation. Consultation themes include education policy, research policy, university management in the areas of finance and personnel, social services for students, diversity and equal opportunities.

Kindernothilfe (German for "Supporting children in need") was founded in Germany in 1959 as a Christian organisation to support vulnerable and marginalized children and youth to develop their full potentials. Kindernothilfe Austria was founded in 1996, followed by Kindernothilfe Switzerland in 2004 and Kindernothilfe Luxembourg in 2009.

We partner with local non-governmental organisations to implement 609 projects in 32 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America and the Caribbean; most of them are faith-based and ecumenically Christian.

Le gouvernement des Etats-Unis d’Amérique, à travers la Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), et le gouvernement du Bénin ont signé le 9  septembre 2015 un accord de don pour le Défi du Millénaire afin de contribuer à la réduction de la pauvreté au Bénin à travers une croissance économique forte et durable.L’accord relève d’un programme d’aide des Etats-Unis d’Amérique auquel sont éligibles les pays remplissant certains critères portant sur la liberté économique, l’investissement dans le capital humain et la gouvernance.

Millennium Challenge Account - Lesotho

The MCC compact integrated conclusions from Lesotho’s poverty reduction plan, the result of a three-year consultative process led by the government involving 20,000 people in 200 villages across the country.

By the end of the compact in September 2013, the government and MCC had spent nearly 99 percent of anticipated compact funds to improve water supply, increase access to essential health services, and remove barriers to private sector investment. Approximately 1 million people are expected to benefit from the investments.
