Mission: Centre for Civil Society advances social change through public policy. Our work in education, livelihood, and policy training promotes choice and accountability across private and public sectors. HEKS EPER

Swiss Church Aid (HEKS/EPER )

HEKS champions the cause of a more humane and just world and a life in dignity. Internationally, HEKS/EPER focuses on rural community development, humanitarian aid and inter-church cooperation. 

Lancée en 2015, la Convention des maires d'Afrique subsaharienne (CoM SSA) est un catalyseur majeur de l'action climatique locale dans la région, avec l'engagement politique de plus de 220 gouvernements locaux. L'objectif de la CoM SSA est d'aider les gouvernements locaux à passer de la planification à la mise en œuvre, en mettant l'accent sur le déblocage du financement climatique au niveau local.

The World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT) is a global Network that was established in 1992. The WOCAT Network launched efforts to compile, document, evaluate, share, disseminate, and apply sustainable land management (SLM) knowledge. It was far ahead of others in recognizing the vital importance of SLM and the pressing need for corresponding knowledge management. In early 2014, WOCAT’s growth and ongoing improvement culminated in its being officially recognized by the UNCCD as the primary recommended Global SLM Database for best practices.

Uganda Landcare Network (ULN) is an association of individuals and institutions committed to the principles, philosophy and practice of Landcare in Uganda. ULN is registered as a trustee to champion Landcare activities nationwide. It is built on the global successes of Landcare including Australia where it was launched close to 30 years ago and has been adopted worldwide by communities and land managers dedicated to sustainable land management.

JEP

The Journal of Environmental Protection (JEP) is published monthly and one of most prospective international journals with multiple disciplines. It covers various aspects of environmental issues, such as research, strategies and the state-of-the-art technologies for prediction, prevention and protection addressing up-to-date research in natural and social sciences related to environmental concerns. The journal includes but not limited to research papers, technical reports, subject reviews, short comments and book reviews on relevant aspects of the field.

Centre for Liveable Cities Singapore

The Centre distills key learning points from Singapore’s urban development journey since its independence in 1965, while creating knowledge to address emerging urban challenges. It shares this knowledge with local and international urban leaders, with the aim of positioning Singapore as a global hub for urban solutions. The Centre’s work spans four main areas:

PELUM Association

PELUM Association is a regional network of over 250 civil society organizations in 12 countries in East, Central and Southern Africa working in the area of participatory ecological land use management. The Association works to improve the livelihoods of small-scale farmers and the sustainability of farming communities, by fostering ecological land use management. Country chapters include Tanzania, Uganda, Kenya, Rwanda, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Botswana, South Africa, Swaziland and Ethiopia.

Local Initiatives for Biodiversity, Research and Development (LI-BIRD) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) established in 1995 in Nepal. It capitalizes on local initiatives for sustainable management of renewable natural resources and helps improve the livelihoods of resource poor and marginalized people.
