The present Regulations are made under the Conservation Easement Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the designation of eligible bodies. Section 4 establishes that if the Minister is satisfied that an organization complies with the present Regulations, the Minister may approve the application and recommend to the Governor in Council that the organization be designated and that its name be added to Schedule “A”. The present Regulations are made under section 26 of the Heritage Property Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to purpose and content of heritage conservation plans. The text - consisting of 14 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: definitions of terms, content of a conservation by law, background studies and information, approval procedures, repeal, Council decisions on certificates.

This Act requires owners to contribute to (jackal-proof) fencing of land by owners of land in areas of jurisdiction of divisional councils on designated on proposal of such councils. The Act also specifies duties and rights regarding fencing in areas where there is no requirement of contribution and, especiallly with regard to neighbouring properties (also if there insist usufructuary rights and servitudes on that such property). The Act also defines certain offences in respect of fenced land and fences.

This Regional Law establishes that maximum land area that can be owned or held in tenancy by subsistence farmers shall be 19 ha.

This Decree provides for the content of the land use register which is a computerized data base. It consists of a land use sheet and a collection of documents. Part I of the land use sheet contains data regarding the land user, Part II contains information by plots. Articles 6-16/A lays down the rules of registration, while Articles 17-19/B provides for supplying of data from the register.

The present Regulation is made under the Assessment Act. In particular, the Regulation lays down provisions relating to prescribed classes of property. All properties in British Columbia are classified based on land use and the requirements are outlined in the present Regulations. There are nine separate property classifications.

This Regional Law regulates land relations concerning land-use planning, urban land zoning and land tenure of public land. It establishes that land tenure shall be performed exclusively in accordance with purposeful use of land. Land classification by categories, including classification of public and municipal land as agricultural land, transfer of land from one category to another shall be carried out by the supreme regional executive body.

This Regional Law establishes that total land area for subsistence farming that can be owned or be allotted on other conditions shall be 17 ha for each subsistence farm.

This Regional Law establishes cases of allotment of public and municipal land free of charge in ownership to citizens. A plot of land on which is located a residence building owned by a citizen, and the owner of the aforesaid residential facility has never before obtained of plot of public or municipal land free of charge, and there is no other way of allotment of the plot of land under residence building, then it can be allotted free of charge in ownership to the citizen – owner of residence building.

This Regional Law establishes rates of land allotment to citizens into ownership for agricultural purposes and maximum land areas to be allotted thereto. Maximum land areas shall be established as follows: (a) for gardening – 0,50 ha; (b) for horticulture and vegetable growing – 1,00 ha; (c) for stockbreeding – 1,00 ha; (d) for suburban housing construction – 0,25 ha; and (e) for farming – unlimited agricultural land area.

This Act amends the Asset Recovery Act in various sections concerning, among other things: interpretations; disclosure of information; offences and legal proceedings; powers of the Enforcement Authority, which also concern disclosure of information; and cooperation by the Enforcement Authority and other public bodies in investigations.
