The present Act governs the valuation of land in general and land covered by water in Nova Scotia. The Act lays down provisions relating, inter alia, to property liable to taxation and propert exempt from taxation, appointment of assessors, powers and duties of assessors, assessment roll. The text consists of 182 sections and 1 Schedule.

The Act makes provision for the adjudication and registration of rights and interests in land in areas declared to be adjudication area by the Minister. Land shall be adjudicated by an Adjudication Officer appointed by the Minister. The Minister shall also appoint Demarcation Officers, Recording Officers and Survey Officers. The Act sets out the principles and procedure of adjudication.

The present Law lays down comprehensive provisions as to the functioning of the Land Registry of Brandenburg. Article 1 establishes that land registries have to be kept by the tribunals of first instance and that the relevant Land Registry Ordinance is to be applied. Article 3 lays down provisions relating to registration of mining properties. The text consists of 7 articles.

The purpose of this Legislative Decree is to regulate the appropriation of lands and buildings in Bahrain by citizens of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. This Legislative Decree is composed of 11 articles. Article 1 defines the requirements and conditions for appropriation of lands and buildings in Bahrain by physical persons of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. Article 2 allows the appropriation of more than two lands only by obtaining previous authorization by the Government of Bahrain. Article 5 deals with the transfer of property.

This Law consists of 59 sections divided into 11 Parts defining: Preliminary (Part I); Organization of the immovable property registration system and registration of immovable property (II); Maps, parcels and boundaries (III); First registration of an immovable property (IV); Certificate and searches (V); Registration of contracts of lease, mortgages, 'In Use' Titles and other interest in immovable property (VI); Servitudes, restrictive agreements and restrictions (VII); Rectification and compensation (VIII); Decision of registrar and appeals (IX); Fees and offences (X); Miscellaneous (XI).

An Act to provide for the validation of a replacement register of native lands for Nikunau. The principal object of this Act is to enable the Government to establish a Land Commission which shall undertake to compile a replacement Register of Native Lands for Nikunau which has been destroyed. Section 3 imposes certain duties on the Commission when compiling the replacement register. Section 5 provides for the inspection of such register by villagers. Section 6 enables any person to raise any objection to or claim for inclusion of title in the replacement Register.

From the records or judgment, or order or decision of various specified courts, a Commission appointed under section 3 shall compile a replacement Register of native lands recording therein all titles to native lands, pits, ponds, fish traps and sea walls in South Tarawa. The Register shall be open for inspection by the villagers, who may raise objections and lodge claims with respect to matters regarding inclusion of title in the replacement Register of Native Lands.

This Chapter provides for certain matters relating to title in land. The owner of any land in American Samoa, not previously registered, may register his or her title thereto with the Territorial Registrar, but no title shall be registered unless the Registrar is satisfied that there is no conflicting claim thereto and unless the description clearly identifies the boundaries of the land. Every registration shall specify whether the land is registered as family owned communal land or individually owned land.

Land taken by the Government is declared to be confiscated land and any irregularities in acquisition shall be resolved through procedures under the Land Adjudication Act. Section 5 concerns easements on banks of waterways.

The purpose of this Act is to establish a real estate transaction order by providing matters pertaining to special cases relating to real estate registration. Provisions for applying for registration of transfer of property are defined in article 2. To apply for an ownership transfer registration for a contract to purchase real estate the applicant shall submit a contract containing items specified in article 3. Special cases pertaining to applications of seals of approval and to permission are defined in articles 4 and 5.

The Law provides for land cadastre registration and the creation of the National Cadastre. It sets forth extensively the administrative procedures (up to the initial registrations of properties at the land logbooks) and lay down the guidelines for dispute settlements.
