This Ordinance provides rules relative to the subdivision of land and relevant titles in such divided land and common property. It prescribes that land, including the whole or a part of a building, may be subdivided by registering a strata plan in the manner provided by or under this Ordinance. The proprietors of strata lots contained in a strata plan, shall, upon registration of the plan, become a body corporate. The Ordinance sets out duties of a corporation and defines requirements of a strata plan. Strata plans may be unified.

The Act provides for the establishment in Malta of the Land Registry for the purposes of registration of title to land. The Act consists of sixty sections divided into the following ten Parts: (I) Preliminary; (II) Administrative provisions; (III) Registration of land; (IV) Dealings with registered land; (V) Cautions; (VA) Cautionary charges; (VI) Land and charge certificates; (VII) General provisions concerning registration; (VIII) Rectification of Register and indemnity; (IX) Miscellaneous provisions; (X) Rules and fees orders.

The Parliament decrees to set up State department of land management. The main function of the Department is state control over the purposeful use and protection of land, keeping state land cadastre and land registration and protection of soil.

This Act empowers the Registrar of Titles to issue new title deeds to property where such title deeds are deemed to be destroyed by disaster. The Act sets out the procedures for the restoration of title deeds.

The 7 Parts of this Act are entitled as follows: Preliminary (I); Administration (II); Registration, with special provisions relating to women (III); Registration of land (IV); Bonds (V); Rights in immovable property (VI); General (VII).This Act provides for the establishment of deeds registries, for the appointment of registrars of deeds as well as for the registration of deeds and conventional hypothecations and matters incidental to the foregoing.

This Code embraces an extremely comprehensive range of issues relating to land use and management.

This Law regulates the use, management and protection of natural resources in the interest of ecological safety and economic development. It is composed of ten chapters and four annexes. After defining and classifying natural resources (renewable, non-renewable, national, local, reserved and protected, curative, i.e. used for prevention and treatment of illnesses) (chaps. 1 and 2).

La presente Ley, que consta de 18 artículos, dispone que el Instituto de Desarrollo Agrario llevará a cabo programas múltiples de titulación de tierras en zonas del país determinadas por la Junta Directiva de ese Instituto y que sean parte de las reservas nacionales; asimismo donde exista por lo menos una proporción del 20 por ciento de poseedores de fincas no inscritas en el registro público y cuyas cabidas no sean superiores a 300 hectáreas (art. 1º).

El presente Decreto Legislativo modifica los artículos 23 y 26, y el capítulo V del Decreto Legislativo Nº 667 de 1991, Ley de Registro de Predios Rurales. Establece que una vez inscrito el derecho de posesión, el registrador deberá ordenar la notificación de esta inscripción al propietario, a los colindantes y a los vecinos del predio rural mediante carteles (art. 23).

El artículo único del presente Decreto Legislativo modifica el texto del artículo 26 del Decreto Legislativo Nº 667 de 1991, Ley de Registro de Predios Rurales, introduciendo la distinción respecto a las pruebas de posesión entre pruebas obligatorias: a) declaración escrita de cualquiera de los siguientes: todos los colindantes y/o seis vecinos, cualquier organización; b) certificado de registro de unidad catastral expedido por el Proyecto Especial de Titulación de Tierras y Catastro Rural (PETT) del Ministerio de Agricultura; y pruebas complementarias (una de las cuales deberá presentar a

The text of the Act opens with an extensive interpretation section. It includes definitions of "contiguous", "diagram", "erf", "land surveyor", "owner", "reference mark", and "township". The Minister shall appoint a Chief Surveyor-General (sect. 2). The Chief Surveyor-General shall be in charge of such geodetic, topographical and cadastrial survey and land information services in the republic as the Minister of Agriculture and Land Affairs may direct and shall perform the duties specified in section 3. Offices of the Chief Surveyor-General may be established in the provinces (sect. 4).

The purpose of the present Law shall be to determine the legal status of the registration of immovable property organization and to regulate matters relating to the registration and protection of rights of ownership of immovable property, other than property owned by the State and local property for public use.
