This cooperative agreement with the International Real Property Foundation aims to develop the capacity of local real estate associations through technical training and the creation of market information systems, thereby facilitating access to credit by enabling the use of real estate as collateral.

80% of disputes in Rwanda are related to land. This program encouraged a culture of collaboration and dialogue around land conflicts and land rights issues in key conflict-prone areas in Rwanda, increased public awareness of rights and conflict management options under the new National Land Policy and Land Law, and fostered dialogue-based approaches to conflict management.

sufficient attention. SDC will support the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), facilitated by UN-Habitat, in

In order to further promote up-to date and reliable information on large-scale land acquisitions, contribute to the empowerment of weaker stakeholders and to correcting information asymmetries that negatively influence decisions over land, the program aims at supporting the Land Matrix Initiative Global Observatory as the primary reference point for data, information, and knowledge on large-scale land acquisitions, developing national, regional and thematic Land Observatories, and scaling up and creating momentum through replication, sharing, and up scaling of experiences and best practices
