Gabón

En 2021, Gabón se convirtió en el primer país africano en recibir una compensación económica por su capacidad para reducir las emisiones de CO procedentes de la deforestación y la degradación forestal en el marco del mecanismo REDD+. El país recibió un pago de 17 millones de dólares de Noruega, de un total de 150 millones de dólares.
