During this evening, you will hear stories by women who are involved in different initiatives at the grassroots level – from the Netherlands to Malawi. What lessons can we learn and how can they generate ideas that lead to more action on the ground? 

The General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Decade of Family Farming 2019-2028 on 20 December 2017 in order to improve the position of family farmers in all five (5) continents.

Afin d’accompagner la dynamique et le développement d’un secteur  agricole fort et performant en Afrique francophone, i-conférences organise la septième édition de l’Africa Agri Forum les 9 et 10 décembre prochains au Hilton Yaoundé. Ce Forum est organisé en partenariat avec OCP Africa et avec l’appui de l’Union Africaine. 

Le dialogue comprendra une session plénière à laquelle participeront d'éminents orateurs, qui sera suivie de discussions dirigées sur les actions clés nécessaires à l'obtention de la sécurité d'occupation et donc à la mise en place de systèmes alimentaires durables pour les femmes, les peuples autochtones et les communautés pastorales. L'objectif est de parvenir à un ensemble concret de résolutions émanant d'un large éventail de parties prenantes qui alimenteront le Sommet sur les systèmes alimentaires.

Du 23 au 26 novembre se tiendra à N’Djaména au Tchad, un colloque soutenu par l’IRD sur la question de la sécurisation du foncier agropastoral et la prévention des conflits agropastoraux en Afrique centrale et de l’Ouest.
