This Act concerns the exploration and exploitation of unconventional hydrocarbon resources in Papua New Guinea.

This Act makes provision for the conservation, use, management and control of land situated in mountain catchment areas. "Mountain catchment area" means any area declared by the Minister under section 2 to be a mountain catchment area.

The Purpose of this Decree is to prescribe matters delegated by the Rearrangement of Agricultural and Fishing Villages Act and those necessary for the enforcement of such matters.
