Le phénomène d’ATGE gagne l’ensemble du Sénégal, privant les communautés de leurs droits fonciers, des principaux moyens d’existance. L’IPAR, en partenariat avec le CNCR et aGter, a bénéficié d’un appui financier du CRDI pour exécuter ce projet de recherche- action participative et collaborative.

La pandémie de Covid-19 est sans aucun doute l’événement majeur de santé publique qui a marqué les êtres humains, les sociétés et les esprits dans le monde entier et particulièrement l’Afrique. Tous les gouvernements ont adopté des mesures de santé publique, notamment le confinement et d’autres mesures exceptionnelles dans le cadre de l’état d’urgence sanitaire, pour réduire la propagation du virus. La chute soudaine de l’activité humaine a des conséquences sur l’environnement, et l’utilisation/exploitation des ressources naturelles, notamment la pêche.

The second phase of the Sustainable Management of Marginal Drylands (SUMAMAD-2) project began in 2009 following a preparatory meeting on the project held on 3–6 June 2008 in Amman and the Dana Biosphere Reserve, Jordan, and was hosted by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN). The extended SUMAMAD-2 to other world regions included South America (Bolivia) and Africa (Burkina Faso).
