This Act makes provision for the registration of land and provides, for this purpose, for an administrative framework, defines the effect of registration of land and regulates the procedures of registration, survey and combination, subdivision and re-parcelling of land. The Act also provides for the registration of lease of agricultural tenancies and its legal consequences.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto mejorar la estructura de las explotaciones agrarias de regadío en Extremadura, mediante el establecimiento de instrumentos jurídicos que permitan incrementar las dimensiones de aquellas explotaciones sin una base territorial suficiente, e impedir las divisiones de la propiedad que producirían nuevas parcelas de superficie menor al umbral de rentabilidad. This Act provides for the establishment of Land Disputes Tribunals in every administrative district and a Land Disputes Appeals Committee in every province, defines the jurisdiction of Land Disputes Tribunals and provides for appeals against decisions of such Tribunals. A Land Disputes Tribunal shall, subject to this Act, have jurisdiction in all cases of a civil nature involving a dispute as to: (a) the division of, or the determination of boundaries of land, including land held in common; (b) a claim to occupy or work land; or (c) trespass of land.

This Act amends the Sectional Titles Act in provisions concerning: the definition of “exclusive use area”, i.e. a part or parts of the common property for the exclusive use by the owner or owners of one or more sections; deviation of participation quotas as a result of the extension of a scheme in relation with real rights of third parties; and registration of a plan of extension.
