La présente ordonnance, prise en application des dispositions de la loi n° 25/2011 du 29 décembre 2011 autorisant le président de la République à légiférer par ordonnances pendant l’intercession parlementaire, fixe les règles générales relatives à l'urbanisme en République gabonaise. La planification urbaine (Titre II), ensemble des études et enquêtes nécessaires pour l’aménagement des agglomérations, comprend schémas directeurs d'aménagement et d'urbanisme et les plans d'occupation des sols.
Restrictions on Acquisition of Immovables Act (2012)
The Act provides the restrictions on the acquisition of immovables used as profit yielding land arising from public interest and the restrictions on the acquisition of immovables arising from national security reasons. For the purposes of the Act, public interest is, in particular, development of the management for specific purposes and sustainable management of immovables used as profit yielding land which contain agricultural and forest land.
Agricultural developments on Middelrus farms on land not part of the joint ventures – livestock and arable options
Phuhlisani undertook this study to investigate agricultural options for six land holding communities which had each contributed land to a joint venture. The study focused on potential land uses for land hweld by the entities but that was part of the joint venture: including
- Arable land for household production
- Arable land for small‐scale commercial production
- Sustainable use of the grazing land

Objective: we want to explore values and methods of public participation in land use planning through analysis on values of public participation and case of Ji’an County in Jiangxi Province. Methods: document and data method, case analysis method, qualitative and quantitative combined methods. Results: public participation in land use plays a positive role in improving science and practice of planning.
