This Act vests specified land in the British South Africa Company Limited and makes provision for certain rights of the Company, the President of Botswana and the Minister in respect of that land. Lands vested in the Company are specified in the First and Second Schedule. The Company may grant lands vested in property, mortgage or otherwise, provided that no occupation or ownership of any such lands shall be recognized as valid or legal unless a title has been granted to the owner or occupier in such form as the Minister shall prescribe.

Esta ley tiene como finalidad regular la actividad agrícola sujeta al régimen de aparcería, precisando las modalidades mediante las cuales, previo contrato, una persona entrega un predio a otra, y ésta a su vez, se obliga a cultivarlo para repartirse los frutos entre sí. La Ley define los derechos y obligaciones que derivan del contrato de aparcería, las modalidades para celebrarlo (forma escrita ante dos testigos), su contenido y las causas de extinción.

La presente Ley tiene por objeto reglamentar el contrato de aparcería agrícola y el aprovechamiento de los frutos y productos naturales de la tierra. Se establecen disposiciones relativas a la forma del contrato de aparcería, la repartición de los frutos, las causas de terminación del contrato, las obligaciones de los propietarios y de los aparceros. Asimismo la Ley establece las circunstancias en que la aparcería es obligatoria.

This Act makes provision with respect to the registration of deeds, including deeds relating to land, and establishes the Deeds Registry and provides for the appointment of a Registrar of Deeds. It defines also duties of the Registrar and provides rules for the preparation of deeds so that they meet requirements of registration. Deeds that must be registered include transfer of estates, long-term leases and mortgage bonds hypothecating immovable property.

La presente Ley establece los principios y límites que rigen el vínculo de aparcería, definido como el contrato por el cual la persona que puede disponer de un predio rústico lo da, en todo o en parte, a otra persona para que lo cultive, recibiendo de ésta la porción de frutos que convinieren. A estos efectos la Ley clasifica las tierras que pueden ser objeto del contrato de aparcería en tres categorías: a) tierras de riego; b) tierras de humedad; c) tierras de temporal. La Ley regula la celebración, las causas de terminación y rescisión del contrato.

This Act establishes Agricultural Rights and regulates the Brazilian Institute for the Agricultural Reform (IBRA). It consists of 5 chapters regulating agricultural rights, controls to be carried out on land use plannings, Agricultural Reform fulfilment, etc. It also establishes land expropriation requirements, land use contracts, competencies of the aforementioned national administration, etc.

Validation of Gratuitous Conveyances Act (Cap. 145).

This Act stipulates that in a voluntary conveyance or in a conveyance where the consideration is nominal, a resulting trust for the grantor shall not be implied merely by reason of the absence of valuable consideration or of a substantial consideration or of any words expressly rebutting a resulting trust or by reason that the land is not expressed to be conveyed for the use or benefit of the grantee.

This Act defines the legality of voluntary conveyance of any lands, tenements or hereditaments which are in fact made bona fide and without any fraudulent intent for purposes of a specified piece of United Kingdom legislation. This Act does not apply in any case in which the author of a voluntary conveyance of any lands, tenements or hereditaments has subsequently, but before the passing of this Act, disposed of or dealt with the same lands, tenements or hereditaments to or in favour of a purchaser for value.

The Ordinance makes provision for the survey and disposal of crown lands, registration of grants or lease of crown lands and for the protection of crown lands from illegal acts. All power and authority in respect of survey and disposal of crown lands shall be vested in the Governor in Council. The Governor may appoint a Commissioner of Crown Lands under section 3. The Commissioner shall carry out surveys and may take possession or lease crown lands. Every grant or lease of crown lands shall be registered in accordance with section 8.
