The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

El presente Decreto Supremo modifica el que aprueba las medidas de promoción para garantizar la seguridad jurídica de predios ubicados en determinados distritos ubicados en zonas de extrema pobreza, respecto a los requisitos económicos para acceder a la inscripción de titularidades en el Registro de Predios.

Nauru Lands Committee (Amendment) Act 2012 (No. 9 of 2012).

This Act amends the Nauru Lands Committee Act 1956. The amendments are set out in the Schedule to this Act and concern, among other things: the power of the Committee to determine the distribution of the personal estate of deceased Nauruans. ‘Personal estate’ means the personal property to which a deceased person was entitled at the time of the person’s death, and any share or interest in such property, that is: (a) subject to the law of Nauru; and (b) not real estate.

Amends: Nauru Lands Committee Ordinance 1956-1963. (1963-10-25)

This Act amends the Environment Act in section 2 (interpretation) by repealing the definitions of "Amendment Commencement Date"; "Authorisation Instrument"; and "Supplementary Approval" and by repealing sections 69A, 69B, 87A, 87B, 87C, 87D and 87E.

This Regional Law establishes the modalities of classification of land areas as protected areas, specifying that the following land categories shall be considered protected areas: (a) protected natural territories; (b) environmental protection land; (c) recreational land areas; (d) land of historical and cultural heritage; and (e) particularly valuable land. Competent public authority for attribution to the aforesaid land categories the status of protected area shall be regional executive body and local government.

This Act establishes guidelines on surveying and mapping of cadastre through the Survey and Cadastre Authority. Survey and Cadastre Authority may, after consultation with other authorities, store and distribute related data. Surveying in Danish waters, including waters around the Faroe Islands and Greenland, may only be done with the Survey and Cadastre Authority authorization. At completion, a copy of all survey data shall be submitted to the SCA. Decisions in adherence to section 1 may not be appealed to any other administrative authority.
