Location

The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

La presente Ley deroga la Ley que tiene por objeto establecer un marco jurídico que permita el ordenamiento y la titulación de los bienes inmuebles cuya propiedad recaiga en instituciones de derecho público, empresas públicas y municipalidades y que estén siendo ocupados por personas físicas en carácter de precaristas.

Decision No. 139 dated 22.2.2012 supplementing Council of Ministers Decision No. 502 dated 13.7.2011 approving the uniform regulation on the control of territory development.

Decision No. 139 of 2012 supplements the Council of Ministers’ Decision No. 502 of 2011 on the uniform regulations regarding the control of the territory development. The supplements add several requirements in the application for construction permits and amend their applicable deadlines.

Regulation No. 88 dated 7.2.2012 amending Regulation No. 502 dated 13.7.2011 of the Council of Ministers approving the uniform regulation for the control of the territory development.

The Regulation No. 88 of 2012 amends Article. 47 of the Regulation 502 of 2011 by extending full legal effects to the decisions approved by the National Territory Planning Committee prior to the Law No. 10119 of 2009 on the territory planing.

This Act provides rules relative to the making, registration, validity and effects of agricultural contracts. An “agricultural contract” means an agreement whereby a contractor is let into possession of a parcel of land by the owner for the purpose of bringing such parcel of land into cultivation or for the bona fide purpose of extending the cultivation on the land, in accordance with the terms of such agreement, and includes all contracts whether registered or unregistered, but shall not include any agreement relating to the cultivation of sugarcane.
