The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

The purpose of this Instruction is to assist in the implementation of management plans in the protected areas system of Tajikistan. The Instruction is of advisory nature and is intended for use in the development of protected areas management plans. It is addressed to: (a) protected areas staff; (b) employees of the organization providing financial support to protected areas; and (c) staff of scientific research institutions.

Decreto Supremo Nº 727 – Territorios Indígenas Originario Campesinos – TIOC’s.
A partir de la publicación del presente Decreto Supremo, en cumplimiento a la Disposición Transitoria Séptima de la Constitución Política del Estado, las Tierras Comunitarias de Origen (TCO’s) pasan a denominarse Territorios Indígenas Originario Campesinos (TIOC’s). Se establece que los TIOC’s tienen como únicos titulares del derecho propietario colectivo a los pueblos que los demandaron.
