The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

El presente Acuerdo establece los procesos metodológicos para la definición de las zonas agroecológicas homogéneas y el cálculo de la Unidad Productiva Familiar (UPF) para las provincias de la Sierra y del Litoral, de conformidad con el Informe Técnico en el cual se establecen 33 Zonas Agroecológicas Homogéneas, y en base a las cuales se delimita la superficie referencial de la UPF de cada zona a nivel cantonal.
Neighbourhood Planning Act 2017 (2017, Chapter 20).
This Act contains measures relating to planning and compulsory purchase of land for housing and planning purposes following the reforms introduced by the Housing and Planning Act 2016. It amends the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
Order No. 185 of the Ministry of Agriculture validating the Methodology of performance of measures to combat degradation and desertification of pastures, including arid ones.
This Order establishes the following Methodology for restoration of degraded and desertified pastures depending upon land areas and the state of vegetation and soil: (a) natural restoration of degraded and desertified pastures by granting rest to land; and (b) restoration of pastures through pasture rotation. Measures for combating degradation and desertification of pastures shall be performed through radical improvement of pastures following recommendations of scientific research institutions and by application of agrotechnical arrangements.
Scottish Landfill Tax (Administration) Amendment Regulations 2017 (S.S.I. No. 139 of 2017).
These Regulations amend the Scottish Landfill Tax (Administration) Regulations 2015 to expand the definitions of “bankrupt” and “incapacitated” for the purposes of regulation 8 of the 2015 Regulations (bankruptcy or incapacity of registrable persons). Other amendments made to the 2015 Regulations are of a minor, technical nature.

Law No. 8/2017 on Land Expropriation for Public Utility.
This Law, consisting of 69 articles divided into five Chapters, defines the regime applicable to the expropriation of immovable property and establishes rules and procedures for cases in which the State, with a view to the pursuit of a public purpose, is impelled, in the absence of other viable alternative solutions, to call upon itself the ownership of immovable property in the private domain. It specifies the cases in which expropriation is allowed, such as: when the property must pursue a purpose of public utility.
