This document authorizes the Government of Queensland to issue licenses or make leases authorizing persons indicated in the authorization to take guano or other fertilizing substances on island that are delimited by parallels and meridians specified in it.
Land and Resources Tribunal Act 1999.
The Act makes provision for the establishment, management, jurisdiction, powers, proceedings and other matters of the Land Tribunal. The Tribunal here established shall have jurisdiction as conferred upon it by this Act (with respect to agreements specified in section 51 and following and other Acts such as the Commonwealth Native Title Act). In addition, the Supreme Court may transfer certain proceedings to the Tribunal. There shall be a registrar of the Tribunal who shall be responsible for the management of the administrative affairs of the Tribunal (sect. 24 and following).
Soil Conservation Act, 1986 (Act No. 37).
This Act consist of 7 Parts divided into 41 sections: Preliminary (1), Administration (2), Approved Property Plans (3), Project Areas (4), Objections and Appeals (5), Financial Assistance (6), General Provisions (7). The Act vests powers in the chief executive of Primary Industries relating to soil conservation to facilitate the implementation of soil conservation by land holders. The main instruments are property plans, run-off coordination notices, project plans for project areas and soil conservation orders.
