The Rural Land Use Policy for Fiji is a national policy with a multi-sectoral approach. The general principle of this Policy is to determine responsibilities of the State, landowners and land users in the fields of sustainable rural development, land management, protection of natural resources, having regard to biophysical, cultural, social and commercial factors.Technical, institutional and legal framework will be strengthened and assessment will be carried out on agricultural land, pastures and forests to ensure efficient land use.

The purpose of this Act is to provide for matters necessary for planning projects for improving residential environments, expanding infrastructure and restoring urban functions in urban areas that lag behind, spanning a wide area, and promoting them systematically and efficiently in order to seek balanced urban development and contribute to improving the quality of life of citizens. In particular, article 17 deals with formation of Consultative Council on Projects and article 34 with Urban Renewal Committees. The text consists of 37 articles.

This Law, consisting of 43 articles divided into five Chapters, creates the Ecological and Economic Zone of the State of Acre.

The Jamaica National Environmental Action Plan (JANEAP) is a national Plan with a multi-sectoral approach. The duration of the Plan is 3 years between 1999 and 2002. The main objective of the Plan is to ensure good environmental planning and management to contribute to the sustainable development.Regarding the biological resources, forestry, watershed management, protected areas and oceans the Plan provides for different actions to be taken. A Fisheries Management Plan and an Ocean and Coastal Zone Policy will be prepared and implemented.

This Ministerial Order, consisting of 4 articles and eleven Annexes (I-A to I-M), establishes the formal Recognition of Traditional Sucos and Indigenous Villages existing in the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste. The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste recognizes the existence of 451 Sucos and 2,233 Villages, whose designation and location in the national territory is included in Annex I-A to Annex I-M to this Ministerial Order. Annexes specify Administrative Areas; Sucos and related Villages.

The present Ordinance implements the Directive 2001/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 June 2001 on the assessment of the effects of certain plans and programmes on the environment. Within the framework of the Federal Land Use Planning Act of 22 December 2008 (BGBl. I p. 2986), the present Law regulates land use planning in the Saarland. The whole Saarland shall be subject to a sustainable planning policy. The text, consisting of 14 articles, deals with the following aspects: tasks of land use planning, land use planning authorities, land development plan, drawing up of the land development plan; environmental assessment, conservation of plan; special proceedings ; safeguard and implementation of land use plan, compensation and transitional and final provisions.

The purpose of these Measures is to standardize the preparation, examination and approval of overal land use planning. The Measures are divided into 5 Chapters: General Provisions (I); Preparation of of Overall Land Use Planning (II); Content of Overall Land Use Planning (III); Examination and Approval (IV); Supplementary Provisions (V).
