The workshop aimed to facilitate knowledge exchange, enhance South-South cooperation, and examine innovative approaches to scaling up land registration. Government representatives from various countries presented on key topics, including fit-for-purpose technologies, institutional frameworks, and the sustainability of land administration reforms. The Anglophone track highlighted experiences from nations such as Ethiopia, Rwanda, and Tanzania, focusing on practical solutions to large-scale land registration, with particular attention to registering customary land. Meanwhile, the Francophone track shared insights from countries like Benin, Cote d’Ivoire, and Madagascar, each bringing unique perspectives on overcoming challenges in land rights registration. The interactive format allowed participants to engage deeply with case studies, drawing lessons applicable to their national contexts.
