This Act makes provision for the administration of districts, i.e. an area under the authority of a district assembly, a municipality or metropolis. Existing districts shall continue as districts for the purposes of this Act and new districts may be declared by the President by Executive Instrument.The Minister shall establish for each district, municipality or metropolis existing or created under this Act a District Assembly. The Act defines functions and powers of District Assemblies and provides rules for their functioning.

This Act concerns the rights in and management of mineral resources in Nigeria. It provides rules for exploration and exploitation of resources and for the protection of the environment. It also concerns possession of mining material, small-scale mining and the protection of interests of host communities, provides incentives for mining operations and defines offences.“Minerals” excludes petroleum but includes water with mineral content. The Act establishes within the Ministry the Mines Inspectorate Department and the Mines Environmental Compliance Department and defines their functions.

This Regulation establishes, in accordance with the legislation of the European Community, vulnerable areas and the use and storage of fertilizers and manure fertilizers, crop rotation and implementation of erosion-control measures in these areas. Vulnerable areas are geographically defined by the cadastral territory of the Czech Republic listed in Annex 1. The measures defined in this Act apply to physical persons who operate agricultural production and are registered and legal persons engaged in entrepreneurial farming in vulnerable areas.

This Regulation of the Government establishes provisions concerning the action program which applies to natural or legal persons operating the agricultural production in vulnerable areas and who are entered in the register specified by the Agriculture Act. The Regulation specifies the seasons when it is prohibited to use nitrogen fertilizing substances on the agricultural land, and methods of fertilization, originally specified in Annex 2 of the amended Regulation. The Regulation amends also Annex 3, specifying limits of fertilization of individual crops.

This Act provides rules relative to the exploration for and the exploitation of oil resources in Uganda. The Act also imposes certain duties on licence holders with respect to the protection of the environment and in case of emergencies. No person shall carry on any exploration or development operations on petroleum in or upon any land in Uganda except under, and in accordance with, a licence issued under this Act. The Government may enter into an agreement for the grant of a licence.

This Regulation establishes that maximum limits of hazardous substances serve as the basis for assessing the condition of soil and ground water and, if necessary, for planning the measures to be employed in order to improve their condition. The maximum limits of hazardous substances are reference value and target value. In case of soil, reference values are given for dry soil. Reference value is the concentration of hazardous substance in soil or ground water which, when exceeded, indicates that the soil or ground water is polluted and hazardous to human health and the environment.

This Regulation of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, which is composed of 34 articles, establishes maximum levels of the release of hazardous substances and fertilizers into the soil when entering sewage from treatment plants, compost or mud from dredging lakes and limits of the release of hazardous substances and fertilizers into the soil, methods of inputting data on hazardous substances and fertilizers in the soil.

For the purposes of this Regulation, the maximum limits for dangerous substances are expressed as reference values and target values for these substances. The reference values for dangeroussubstances in soil are expressed in micrograms per dry mass of soil.
