The Global Food Policy Report is IFPRI’s flagship publication. This year’s annual report examines major food policy issues, global and regional developments, and commitments made in 2015, and presents data on key food policy indicators. The report also proposes key policy options for 2016 and beyond to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. In 2015, the global community made major commitments on sustainable development and climate change.

Для международного сообщества 2015 год стал поворотным моментом. Окончание срока выполнения Целей развития тысячелетия подчеркнуло поразительные успехи, достигнутые с 1990 года: доля людей, живущих в крайней нищете, уровень детской смертности и масштабы голода сократились почти вдвое. Однако по-прежнему остаются огромные проблемы.

Climate change projections internationally accepted as being reliable indicate that most countries in the Pacific region will suffer large-scale negative impacts from climate change. These impacts are likely to include elevated air and sea-surface temperatures, increasingly unpredictable rainfall patterns, rising sea levels, and intensification of extreme weather events such as tropical cyclones and El Niño-related droughts.

L’année 2015 a marqué un tournant décisif pour la communauté internationale du développement. L’aboutissement des Objectifs du Millénaire pour le développement a souligné les avancées remarquables enregistrées depuis 1990 : l’extrême pauvreté, la mortalité infantile et la faim ont toutes chuté à peu près de moitié. Agriculture and climate change are inextricably linked. Agriculture is part of the climate change problem, contributing about 13.5 percent of annual greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (with forestry contributing an additional 19 percent), compared with 13.1 percent from transportation. Agriculture is, however, also part of the solution, offering promising opportunities for mitigating GHG emissions through carbon sequestration, soil and land use management, and biomass production.

Although wild natural resources are a standard dietary component in southern Africa, little information exists on these resources' specific role in the maintenance of household food security among HIV-impacted households. In this context, the influence of cash savings or income generated through use or sale of natural resources (e.g., using fuelwood instead of electricity to be able to afford to buy food) is also not known.

El documento contine los elementos conceptuales para el desarrollo de un Marco Estratégico de mediano plazo de cooperación de la FAO en Agricultura Familiar en América Latina y el Caribe.
La aprobación de este Marco se realizará en la Conferencia Regional de la FAO a llevarse a cabo en Buenos Aires, Argentina del 26 al 30 de marzo de 2012.

Principales políticas sobre cambio climático en los países del Consejo Agropecuario del Sur (CAS) La variabilidad y el cambio climático constituyen una amenaza para la producción agrícola, pecuaria, forestal y pesquera a nivel mundial, que podría dificultar el acceso a los alimentos, especialmente a las poblaciones más vulnerables. El documento incluye las principales políticas implementadas frente a la vulnerabilidad climática y sugerencias de acciones y políticas en la región.

El documento hace una comparación de los cambios ocurridos en la propuesta Yasuni-ITT, entre los términos de referencia (versión 2009) y el acuerdo entre el PNUD y el gobierno ecuatoriano (versión 3 agosto 2010). El documento forma parte de la serie Análsis de coyuntura de Comité Ecuménico de Proyectos (CEP).

Este informe de políticas se propone informar a los negociadores en dónde se sitúa la agricultura en el marco de las negociaciones actuales y proporciona algunas propuestas sobre cómo ésta podría abordarse en un acuerdo mundial sobre el cambio climático. El informe se basa en la presentación más técnica y exhaustiva acover_page por la FAO al Grupo de Trabajo Especial sobre la Cooperación a Largo Plazo (AWG-LCA), antes de su Cuarta Sesión (FAO, Enabling agriculture to contribute to climate change mitigation, 6 de febrero de 2009).

El Cluster Alimentario pretende contribuir a la identificación de los daños y problemas sufridos con la catástrofe del 27 de febrero en los sectores frutícola, vitivinícola, alimentos procesados, aves y cerdos y carnes rojas para redireccionar el enfoque de los recursos públicos que permitan continuar y avanzar en la competitividad de estos sectores.
