The Act provides for the conservation and efficient use of of land, forest and water resources in the Province of Alberta. It provides for the establishment of the Conservation and Utilization Committee to inform and recommend measures to the Lieutenant Governor in Council (LGC). Subject to approval by the LGC, the Committee may carry out recommended measures related to the conservation and utilization of irrigable, marginal and submarginal lands, rivers and streams or forestry and game areas.

The Office for Consumer Protection, Agriculture and Land Consolidation is in the Land Berlin, inter alia, responsible for the promotion of the integrated agricultural development, water resources and technical measures. Moreover, it is responsible for the implementation of land consolidation measures, as well as measures relating to ecological agriculture and the marking of agricultural products and feedstuff resulting thereof. This Decree consists of 4 Chapters divided into 18 articles: General provisions (I); Contractual assignment of land for agricultural production (II); Contractual assignment of production forest land (III); Implementation provisions (IV). The objectives of contractual land assignment are to use land and forest resources in order to raise production and business efficiency of State-run agricultural or forestry farms, to create more jobs and increase incomes, etc.

La presente Resolución regula la organización y el funcionamiento del primer nivel operativo de la Secretaría de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sustentable de la Jefatura de Gabinete de Ministros, de acuerdo al organigrama, las acciones y la dotación que se detallan en los Anexos I, II y III. Por otro lado, los Anexos IV y V regulan las acciones y organizacón de las coordinaciones de dicha Secretaría.

El presente Decreto reglamenta los artículos 27, 28 y 29 de la Ley Ambiental Provincial, relativos a la adopción de normas técnicas ambiental que fijen los límites máximos permisibles para el el vuelco, descarga o inyección de efluentes contaminantes a las masas superficiales y subterráneas de aguas, a la atmósfera y al suelo.

La presente Resolución aprueba la Guía de bienes y/o servicios del Programa Nacional de Manejo de Cuencas Hidrográficas y Conservación de Suelos (PRONAMACHCS), con el fin de permitir el acceso de los ciudadanos a la información de los bienes y servicios a comercializar por PRONAMACHCS: servicio a prestar, monto del precio y forma de pago.

El presente Decreto establece los criterios básicos a aplicar en el manejo y la conservación de suelos y aguas, con el objeto de asegurar un uso más racional de lso recursos, aparejando al mismo tiempo mayores rendimientos productivos.La primera parte del Decreto está dedicada al uso y conservación de los suelos. Como norma básica, toda práctica agrícola deberá mantener o aumentar la productividad de los suelos, evitándose la erosión y degradación de las propiedades físicas, químicas o biológicas.

La presente Resolución crea la Comisión Técnica Nacional de Agua y Suelos a cargo del Ministerio de Agricultura, cuyos objetivos son evaluar, elaborar y proponer los lineamientos y acciones que permitan el manejo y conservación de los recursos hídricos y recursos naturales vinculados. La Comisión cesara en sus funciones el 28 de julio de 2001, debiendo hacer entrega de un informe final de actividades al Ministerio de Agricultura.
