The present Ordinance enforces the Land Use Planning and Building Law of 14 May 1987. Land consolidations shall be effected in view of building land, land not designed as such shall be re-allocated. The text deals with the following aspects: definition of terms, sphere of application, cooperatives, purpose of land consolidation, survey, principles of allocation, costs, administrative proceedings, legal protection and entry into force. The present Regulations provide for the enactment of the Land Titles Act. The Regulations apply to transactions and any other matters regulated by the Act and these regulations that have effect or that may have effect in an area of Saskatchewan that the Lieutenant Governor in Council has designated pursuant to section 191 of the Act as an area to which the Act applies.

The present Regulations enact section 62 of the Canada Lands Surveyors Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the Association of Canada Lands Surveyors. The text –consisting of 58 sections - deals with the following matters: nomination of the president and vice-president of the Association, election of council committee, duties and powers of members, licences, permits and offences.

The present Regulations enact the Canada National Parks Act. Section 3 establishes that a person may use or occupy public lands or other public property within a Park if that person does so in accordance with the Act, the Regulations made there under and any agreement made between the Government of Canada and the government of the province within which the Park is situated. The Minister may, from time to time, arrange to have public lands in a Park surveyed or resurveyed. The text consists of 40 sections.

The present Ordinance lays down detailed provisions with the purpose of implementing the Cantonal Spatial Information Law of 24 October 2010. In particular, the Ordinance applies to spatial base data of cantonal law.

The execution of cadastral work and inspection shall be performed by a surveyor covered by insurance policy for liabilities in omissions committed by the surveyor or by the surveyor's staff. The insurance entity must be registered in an EU country and must be in addition to other existing insurances on losses due to the performance of cadastral survey.

The present Ordinance implements the Law on spatial information in the Canton Aargau (Cantonal Spatial Information Law) of 24 May 2011. The present Regulation is made under the Environment Quality Act (R.S.Q. c. Q. 2). Section 1 establishes that the Regulation applies to all holders of a certificate of authorization issued by the Government or by the Minister for carrying out: 1) drilling work to explore for or produce petroleum or natural gas in shale; and 2) fracturing operations intended to explore for or produce petroleum or natural gas. Furthermore, the Regulation applies in a reserved area and an agricultural zone established under the Act respecting the preservation of agricultural land and agricultural activities.
