This Act makes provision for the public survey of land in Bermuda. It shall be lawful for the Minister, in collaboration with the Directorate of Overseas Survey of the United Kingdom or otherwise, to make a survey of Bermuda. For this purpose, any officer of the Department of Works and Engineering or any other person duly authorized by the Minister may enter upon land, carry out survey works on that land and clear any brush, scrub or trees on any land. The Act prohibits the removal of survey marks.

This Act creates a framework for land survey by Manitoba government surveyors. The text – consisting of 48 sections deals with the following matters: lost corners and protection of monuments, surveys of Crown land, appointment of surveyors, administration, standard of measures, evidence before surveyors and surveys, re-establishment of lost corners, effect of new monuments, planting monument in new position, plans of crown lands and original boundary lines.

The present Law lays down provisions relating to the keeping of the land register of Brandenburg. Measuring of land as well as holding the land property register are both public tasks which according to the present Law are carried out by the Office of Land Mapping and Information of Brandenburg and by other local public entities. The present Law implements the Directive 2007/2/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 March 2007 establishing an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community (INSPIRE). In particular, the purpose of the present Law is to lay down rules aimed at the establishment of the infrastructure for spatial information in Vorarlberg and surroundings with a view to environmental policies and activities which may have an impact on the environment.

Oil Mining (High Water Mark) Act (Cap. 62:03).

This Act provides certain rules relative to surveys related to the determination of the high water mark, required for the establishment of rights relating to the drilling for oil in the land and marine areas within five hundred feet of high water mark. The Chief Petroleum Engineer, the Commissioner of State Lands and any adjacent owner who objects to the high water mark as defined in a survey plan may apply to court to declare what is the high water mark.

This Act establishes a Land Survey Board under section 3. The Board shall be chaired by a Director of Surveys, the duties and functions of which are set out in section 11.Responsibilities of the Board are set out in section 5. The Director of Surveys shall be the custodian of the Survey Register in which surveys shall be entered (sect. 14). Other provisions of this Act concern qualification and registration of land surveyors and the practising of their profession.

Regional Law No. 132-10-OZ “On regulation of relations in the sphere of conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage.

The scope of this Regional Law shall be conservation, management, promotion and state protection of the objects of cultural heritage. Objects of cultural heritage shall be covered by conservation pledge agreement signed by manager of the objects of cultural heritage. Boundaries of the reserve containing objects of cultural heritage shall be mapped in-situ.

Valuation of Land Act (Cap. 58:03).

This Act provides for the appointment of the Commissioner of Valuations and the valuation of agricultural and other land. The Commissioner shall make a valuation of the: (a) site value and improved value; or (b) capital value and annual rental value, of every parcel of land or any part thereof. Fresh valuation in respect of land shall commence as near as may be to five years from the date of the last valuation of the land as recorded in the Valuation Roll.
