The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

These Rules prohibit the taking possession of, encroaching upon, cultivating or putting up any building or structure on any part of any Crown Land without the express authorization in writing of the Minister. A person who occupies Crown Land without any right or authority shall be deemed to be a squatter. The Minister may serve a notice on a squatter ordering evacuation of the occupied land and, if such notice is ignored, may order removal of a squatter from the occupied Crown Land. Unlawful occupation or ignoring a notice shall be an offence.
Strata Titles Registration Regulations, 1993 (S.R.O. 54 of 1993).
These Regulations, made by the Minister under section 16(g) of the Strata Titles Registration Act, require a fee to be paid to the Registrar of Titles for a strata plan lodged for registration under the Act.

Beach Control (Prohibition) Order (SRO No. 19 of 1993).
This Order, made by the Minister under section 12(4) of the Beach Control Act, defines prohibited areas for purposes of control of removal of sand and other materials from a beach or seashore.

Deeds and Land Registry (Registration of Instruments) Regulations, 1991 (SRO No. 17 of 1991).
These Regulations implement provisions of the Deeds and Land Registry Act in respect of the form of any instrument supplied to the Registrar pursuant to section 18(1) of the Act, the form of Plans and printing requirements for registered instruments.

Decree implementing Directive 2011/97/EU amending Annexes I, II and III to Directive 1999/31/EC as regards specific criteria for the storage of metallic mercury considered as waste.
The present Decree updates Annexes I and II to Legislative Decree No. 36 of 2003 by inserting new provisions concerning the storage of metallic mercury considered as waste. These amendments and addenda are laid down pursuant to Directive 2011/97/EU, which amends Annexes I, II and III to Directive 1999/31/EC on the landfill of waste.
