The FAO Legal Office provides in-house counsel in accordance with the Basic Texts of the Organization, gives legal advisory services to FAO members, assists in the formulation of treaties on food and agriculture, for which the Director-General acts as Depositary, publishes legal studies and maintains a database (FAOLEX) of national legislation and international agreements concerning food and agriculture (including fisheries, forestry and water).

La presente Ley reconoce la preexistencia étnica y cultural de todas las comunidades originarias que han habitado y habitan el territorio de la provincia de San Luis. En este marco, se dispone restituir a las comunidades que originariamente habitaron la Provincia de San Luis las tierras que históricamente les han pertenecido en tanto las mismas pertenezcan al dominio del Estado Provincial.
Ley Nº 1.499 - Modifícanse los artículos 1° y 91 de la Ley Nº 113, Régimen de Colonización y Tierras Fiscales.
Estas disposiciones introducen algunas modificaciones a la Ley Nº 113 sobre el régimen de colonización y las tierras fiscales. Las enmiendas tienen por objeto la inembargabilidad e insusceptibilidad de venta judicial de las tierras fiscales afectadas por el Poder Ejecutivo a planes de colonización, obras públicas, desarrollo rural, actividad económica estatal, urbanización o construcción de viviendas y otros fines de perfeccionamiento social, las mejoras enclavadas en éstas y los derechos y acciones que existan o pudieran existir sobre las mismas.
Ley Nº 507-2006 : Creación del Fondo para el Desarrollo Agropecuario.
Mediante esta Ley se crea el Fondo para el Desarrollo Agropecuario, cuyas finalidades serán la de promover y ejecutar acciones que dinamicen la actividad privada en el sector agropecuario favoreciendo el aumento de la productividad, el aseguramiento de la sustentabilidad y la valorización de sus productos, garantizando el acceso equilibrado de todos los actores del sector a los recursos, servicios y oportunidades generadas.
Law on financing measures of nature and cultural heritage protection and of recreational areas.
Article 1 of the above-mentioned Law establishes that a special Fund shall be created to finance measures concerning the creation, preservation, acquisition, creation or protection of valuable landscapes and townscapes, of natural and cultural objects, as well as recreational areas. Article 2 establishes that the resources of the Fund are destined, in particular, for the: a) acquisition of land and the establishment of limited real rights; b) compensation of landowners; c) financing of other measures. The text consists of 6 articles.
