Anne Shaffers first worked with Habitat for Humanity at the Sea Island affiliate in South Carolina in 2008 and has worked in Habitat for Humanity International's Governments Relations and Advocacy office in Washington D.C. in total for five years. As the global advocacy campaign director, Myers works with Habitat for Humanity's network and partners to implement Solid Ground Campaign, a grassroots mobilization effort aimed at addressing access to land for shelter around the world through four key areas; secure tenure, slum upgrading, disaster resilience, and gender equality. Myers' previous experience implementing advocacy campaigns includes overseeing grassroots engagement for the United Nations Foundation's global vaccines campaign and leading the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities campaign on child welfare finance reform.
