Este estudo tem como objetivo discutir a violência contra a mulher entre moradoras de um assentamento rural de reforma agrária, as peculiaridades da violência, bem como as formas de suporte e apoio social. A violência contra a mulher constitui um problema de saúde pública, agravando-se no contexto rural, o qual é organizado segundo uma divisão tradicional de papéis de gênero. Trata-se de um estudo com abordagem qualitativa e como ferramenta se utilizou a entrevista semiestruturada. Participaram da pesquisa 9 mulheres maiores de 18 anos moradoras de um assentamento rural.

Esta dissertação aborda as imbricações de classe e gênero nos processos organizativos relacionados ao acesso à terra. A pesquisa visou compreender de que forma a participação das mulheres no Movimento de Mulheres Trabalhadoras Rurais tem contribuído para gerar mudanças em relação ao acesso e controle da terra no Sertão Central de Pernambuco, Brasil.

This guide presents a people-centred gender approach to increase and improve the provision of goods and services from agriculture, forestry and fisheries in a sustainable manner while reducing rural poverty. It first introduces the proposed approach for improving gender equality in territorial issues, with specific guidance for each phase of the gender-response planning process. Then, it presents some available participatory tools to support planning of gender-responsive territorial development.

The webinar An introduction to Prindex took place on 28 November, 2018. This webinar presented a basic understanding of how Prindex works. The Prindex team presented results of data collected from 15 countries. It focused on pathways for using Prindex to propel policy conversations and movement-building for policy reform with the help of panellists from some of the countries where data was collected.

Las políticas proponen marcos de referencia para que vivamos de manera igualitaria, pero ¿cómo hacerlo si la misma sociedad es la que enseña a ser desiguales? Este trabajo ofrece un panorama histórico de los avances y retrocesos en materia de equidad de género. Al escudriñar este fenómeno quizás nos acerquemos a conocer una realidad social que impacta a hombres y mujeres de manera distinta.

For the purposes of this article, we address gender inequality as a dimension ofsocioeconomic inequality expressed in Costa Rica. Through the evaluation of a seriesof socioeconomic variables, we show that even when the country has moved forward interms of recognition of women rights, there is still much to do to achieve greater levels ofequality in the access to productive resources, socio-economic assets and employment.
