This Act provides for the management of land and natural resources in the county of Finnmark. This shall be done in a balanced and ecologically sustainable manner for the benefit of the residents of the county and particularly as so as to enhance Sami culture, reindeer husbandry, use of non-cultivated areas, commercial activity and social life. The Act shall apply to real property and watercourses with natural resources in the county of Finnmark. On the shoreline, the Act shall apply as far out to sea as private right of ownership extends.

The present Regulation of the Council of Ministers, which is composed of 11 paragraphs and two Annexes, establishes fee rates for: gases and dusts introduced into air (specified in Annex 1); substances introduced with sewage into water or land; cooling water introduced into water or land; placing wastes on storage (specified in Annex 2); groundwater collection; inland surface water collection; water from contaminated surfaces introduced into water or land; increase of weight of fish other than salmon.

The purpose of the present Act is to ensure the respect of natural resources. This term “natural resources” means the renewable resources of Saskatchewan and includes: i) fish; ii) wildlife; iii) wild species; iv) forest products; v) resource lands and provincial forest lands; vi) ecological reserves; vii) other living components of ecosystems within resource lands, provincial forest lands and other lands managed by the department.

This Regulation, made under the Fertilizing Substances Act, makes provision for the implementation of article 5, forth comma of the Council Directive 91/676/EEC concerning the protection of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources. It lays down minimum norms for the size of storage capacity for fertilizing substances of animal origin.

The scope of this Decree is to implement provisions of the Act containing rules regarding the emission of ammoniac from animal keeping premises belonging to the livestock sector so as to reduce negative effects caused by emission of ammoniac produced by agricultural enterprises. The Decree prescribes maximum emission values for various types of animal keeping. If animals, for which a maximum emission value is indicated in the Schedule, are kept, no animal keeping system shall be used with an emission factor higher than the value indicated in the Schedule.

Decree repealing the Regulation on the landfill of waste.

The present Decree, which repeals Decree of 22 February 2006 on the landfill of waste, establishes the regulatory framework applicable to the installation and functioning of waste landfills. In addition, it sets out measures for the measurements and checks to be carried out by establishments engaged in the landfill of waste with a view to preventing emissions into the atmosphere and waters. Furthermore, the Decree lays down conditions for waste management.

The purpose of this Act is to preserve the environment in Svalbard and in particular to protect wilderness, landscape elements, flora, fauna and cultural heritage. The Act shall apply to the entire land area of Svalbard and its waters within the territorial limit. The Act consists of 103 sections divided into 10 Chapters.The Act defines the environmental protection authorities for Svalbard. Protected areas may be established for the protection of habitats, ecosystems, the wilderness or area of natural or historical value.

This Decree prescribes ecological sustainability requirements for the establishment and operation of farms that keep cattle for milk and farms that cultivate crops on open ground, small livestock farms, children's farms, equine breeding establishments, specified cultivations and organic waste processing establishments. Articles 2 to 4 define the application sphere of the Decree. The environmental standards relating to soil, water, energy, noise, odours, air, etc. are laid down in the Schedule to this Decree.

Article 18 of the Federal Law No. 166-FZ on fisheries and conservation of aquatic biological resources shall be supplemented with item 2 of the following wording: “The boundaries of the fishing area shall be established by the authorized federal executive body in the sphere of fisheries and conservation of biological diversity”, and item 6 of the following wording: “The use of the plots of land for fisheries shall be carried out in conformity with the water and land legislation”.
