De esta forma ejercen el control de su territorio, la cual una parte está titulada y la otra no; las áreas no tituladas son de uso y ocupación ancestral y que han sido aprovechadas y cuidadas por los Wampis.

During its transition from racial apartheid to democracy in 1994, South Africa’s government announced it would strengthen the tenure rights of the estimated 16 million citizens who lived on communal land. Land area of 846.8997 hectare in Ou Chum district, Ratanakiri province has downsized from Forest Cover 2002 and reclassified as "State Private Land" for granting purpose as communal ownership to 165 families of Kreung indigenous community on 20 land parcels including 10 parcels for residential, 10 parcels for traditional agriculture in L'ak commune, Ou Chum district, Ratanakiri province.

Eight years have passed since the enactment of the 2001 Land Law, which established a framework for the recognition of land and property rights throughout Cambodia. In 2002 the multi-donor supported Land Management and Administration Project (LMAP) was initiated in order to implement key parts of the law and further develop the legal framework. LMAP has since been the key focus for the development of the Cambodian land sector. The project was due to end in December 2009.

This report outlines the main findings of the workshop, illustrated by some statements and case studies as presented by participants.
